How to measure:
To determine the appropriate back size of your pad, measure your saddle at the longest points, from the front edge of the skirt to the back edge of the skirt. Take that measurement and add 4 inches:
A saddle length of 25 + 4 inches means you will need to order a 29
For a saddle length of 26.5 inches, round up to 27 + 4 requires a 31
Standard drop is 32 inches and accommodates most saddles
Saddles with a dropped style rigging system or flat plate rigging system will require a 34 or 36 inch drop to fit properly.

These bits hang higher on your horse's head because the mouthpiece is at the bottom of the gag. To adjust--pull the mouthpiece up snug in the mouth the same as with any other bit. A noseband increases effectiveness. If you have a problem keeping your horse handling light and stopping good, this bit, when used correctly, will eliminate that problem.

Trammell Josey Chain Nose Hackamore
This hackamore was designed by a renowned barrel horse trainer to prevent cocking, pinching, and blocking that occur with a standard hackamore bit. When you got to one rein on this bit, the opposite cheek collapses against the side of the head, making this an excellent turning tool to bend colts' heads and correct old horses' problems. This can be a strong stopping bit and should be ridden light handed. The chain nose is adjustable on each side and should ride on the upper hard area of the nose. It can be tied to the headstall with string or leather. This hackamore has also proven to be a good bit on rope horses.

The old style Argentine shank with loose rein rings gives a little signal when the reins are moved. Lighter hands are required for the mild steel twisted wire mouthpiece which is double jointed with a stainless steel dogbone center.
A mechanical hackamore - gag combination with a neoprene covered steel chain noseband. The mouthpiece is a copper wrapped lifesaver short travel gag. This bit provides leverage and shoulder control at speed. One of the most balanced of the combination style hackamore/bit designs. The neoprene covered steel chain noseband sits comfortably across the bridge of the nose working with the quick link comfort curb for front to hind control. The loose shank and limited draw gag work together for shoulder elevation and supple turns. Designed for horses that have alleyway issues, as it provides lateral control to help move the horse into forward motion. An ideal barrel racing bit providing not only a balanced approach, but good rate and turn control throughout the course.

From the manufacturer: This hackamore was designed by renowned barrel horse trainer, Bobby Stivers, to prevent cocking, pinching, and blocking that occur with a standard hackamore bit. When you go to one rein on this bit, the opposite cheek collapses against the side of the head making this an excellent turning tool to bend a colt's head and correct an old horse's problems. This can be a strong stopping bit and should be ridden light handed. The chain nose is adjustable and should ride on the upper hard area of the nose. This bit is offered in chain and rope nose with a 7" or a 9" cheek. This hackamore has also been proven to be a good bit on rope horses.

From the manufacturer: Good all around combination bit. Rope nose has a soft feel and conforms to the horse's nose. Mouthpiece is very popular. Medium plus control. Packs well. Short shank.
This bit has the "softest feel" of any of the combinations. It's excellent for starting colts or using as a competition bit on a seasoned horse who is light in his mouth but needs a little more than a draw bit. The curb chain should be adjusted a little tighter than the other combinations.
From the manufacturer: Got a problem horse? This bit is worth looking at.
This bit may look like a strong bit, but if used with a snug curb, the sweet iron mouthpiece will continue to lay flat across the horse's mouth and bars. The Rutledge has been used quite successfully with horses that have split or damaged tongues and bars, or plain anxious about their mouths. The shank is flat and allows the curb to move from side to side, which is a new sensation for most horses. Horses seem to go progressively better within only a few days as they become accustomed to this new action.

Many top ropers and barrel racers have reported tremendous results and satisfaction using the Rutledge roper on HARD TO STOP horses. The revolving mouthpiece stays in place and lets you pull the curb chain against your horse's chin for a new feeling to your horse. This is not a severe bit, yet very effective and human and may be used as an all-around using bit.

Sore No-More Performance liniment. 12 oz with sprayer. A liniment that is famous for its natural, herbal arnica base, this cooling formula is now lobelia free to meet FEI regulatory requirements. Use before a competition or workout, under boots or wraps, to help prevent any performance issues due to discomfort from tendon, muscle or ligament pain. When subject to undesirable, hard footing, paint on soles of hooves to help absorb the pain from impact. Will help a horse ease back into a workout regime after an injury by massaging into previously injured area or fatigued muscles before a workout to increase flexion and suppling. Sore No-More® Performance Liniment maintains the same arnica based and capsaicin free formula as the original Sore No-More but has replaced lobelia with comfrey, a more potent anti-inflammatory that meets zero-tolerance regulations. Though comfrey has replaced lobelia, it still has the same benefits and use as the Classic Sore No-More® Liniment; use as a leg brace, bath brace, or on other parts of the body to help reduce soft tissue inflammation and loosen muscles before a workout. It is also a great liniment to use on horses that do not tolerate chemicals well, as there is no burning effect when applied. The cooling and calming formula is also safe to use under tack, boots, wraps, blankets and with therapeutics like BeneFab by Sore No-More®.

This is a one-size-fits-all boot for the front legs or hind legs. RES Sport Boot is a slender fitting boot for your equine athlete to allow movement and still give you the protection that you desire. Our sport boot has a nice ribbon of elastic on the top to prevent dirt from filling inside with constriction on the leg. NOTE - Top strap is replaceable on all sport boots.
